First things first i wanted to start on my first post review on the "Maybellines Falsies Mascara." -RRP £7.99
As you all may know this Mascara has been raved and been so popular in the makeup world. The Release of the mascara was quite a few years back and even till now it's still so popular. I had this mascara a few years back and i remember that this was one of the first mascaras i have ever used and i took it with me to China on a vacation. I do remember how the mascara went on for me although after a while i had to dispose it because it dried up after a couple of months.With my personal experience i think that this mascara is a little bit overated and it didnt really work out the way i expected it to be as described and raved as "the ultimate" of what i heard online and from friends. To me i think that this mascara is pretty average for me and i'll explain below why and my views.
My Views
Volume: For this mascara it did provide the job of giving volume to my eyelashes and the volume does stay on put all day which is one of the good properties about this mascara. As i took it back to china when i went on a vacation , the formulation of the mascara did not flake off under my eye under humidity and heat which is a bonus for me. It is such a turn off to me if my eyelashes start to fall back to the original shape and when it just droops back to my Asian short straight lashes.
Lengthening: This mascara didn't really provide dramatic lengthening to my eyelashes although it did do a decent job. I am a person who tends to look for a 2 in 1 great lengthening and volume mascara however the lengthening this gives off did disappoint me a bit. I also realized if you did 2 coats (as i always do) or more applications,the coating to my eyelashes, it did start to get quite clumpy and i really hate the look of spider legs and clumpy lashes.
Overall : I wouldn't really recommend this mascara to someone if i had to which is why i didn't repurchase it again. Through what i have used there are many more better mascara's that provide even greater volume and length that is also long lasting especially for thin,short, eyelashes.One thing i liked about the mascara is the design of the brush,it is a good shape to apply the product to hard corners of the eyelashes and a good size that is not too big to stab your eye accidently. The overall score i would give to this mascara is a 3/5 because i didn't find the mascara special enough for my needs.
